Why did I become an artist?
I just couldn't help it.
Post high school, I tried not to become an artist.
My initial career thrust was in the life/biological sciences.
However, the urge to create and be creative, the joy and satisfaction in the process and results trumped guaranteed financial stability and success I guess.
So I dropped out of college (much to the chagrin of family and friends).
Earned degrees in Painting and Industrial Design.
The latter bankrolls the former.
So, the answer to the question:
"why did you become an artist?":
I became an artist because I couldn't help myself. |
