Artist Statement:
Hello! Thank you for visiting
my site!

My name is Ji Hong Zhang. I
was born in Hangzhou a
beautiful city in China. I
went in 1994 to the
Netherlands where I wanted to
develop myself more as a
artist. For the past 5 years I
am living and working
alternately in China and the
Netherlands. Its a big
privelidge and pleasure to
enjoy both countries social
and cultural advantages.
Netherlands as I see it is a
small, calm and cosy country.
China is a huge, hectic en
fast vibrating country. As in
my art works is illustrated, I
love contrasts in things. And
like in the Yin Yang
philosophy. There is allways
a positive point in the
negative, as there is allways
a negative point in the
positive. And when it is in
balance, then its good.

My specialities are sculptures
in bronze, multimedia
paintings, multimedia
installations, monumental work
and I do performances for
example at the openings of
exhibitions.
