Artist Statement:
Hi,
I have always been drawn to
put down on paper the pictures
in my mind. From a very early
age my school work was always
littered with doodles.
Over the years, I have found
that this special gift comes
out best when it comes from
the heart. Having traveled
most of the US and the world,
I find myself always attracted
to the coastal areas. It is
this subject that seems to
feed my passion to touch that
inner soul needed to bring
real feeling and life into a
blank canvas or paper.
So at this time in my life, I
find myself drawn to the
coastal area of Galveston Bay
in Texas. Each day you can
watch the fish and shrimp
boats slowly move out to find
the catch of the day.
There is something very
special about the area. It's
unique water history is deep
in character. My artwork is an
attempt to bring out that
spirit for all to enjoy. I
feel a certain affinity with
that character of the sea.
I'm pulled to capture this
love of the water that
everyone who lives here or has
watched a sunset slowly decend
