Jeanne Guerin Daley's Artist Portfolio
Welcome to Jeanne Guerin Daley's Portfolio. Painting large (murals) as well as smaller canvas paintings are my passion. Images of flowers, trees, pet and people portraits are my focus.
“Why do I paint?
I paint to express an deep appreciation of the wonders in our world, to spread nature's beauty, to bring the outdoors in, and to attempt to re-create some of the awesomeness of our world. There is so much to paint in this world and so little time to paint!
Currently I am dividing my time between painting custom murals and creating smaller sized works that portray and celebrate images from nature. These smaller works are created in a variety of media. In addition to acrylic paints, I’ve been playing around with pastels, water-color pencils and a photographic process called cyanotypes. The cyanotypes allow me to get out into the garden and get up close and personal with nature, which feeds my soul. I have been using real parts of nature to create the prints. Now that the cold weather has come and the summer foliage is disappearing, I have started to experiment with cyanotypes using images on film.... |
