Artist Statement:
As a young artist, I
feel the need to constantly
learn and evolve accordingly
as the art world progresses.
This fits my personality
because I enjoy learning new
things and exploring new
directions. Art is one of the
few areas that allow me to
evolve, learn, and progress on
a daily basis, while at the
same time being something that
I love to do.
When it comes to making
decisions in my work I tend to
keep it simple. I am a very
technical person, so I am a
firm believer in good
technique and use of the
fundamental theories of art.
Color, composition, line,
balance, and value are just a
few of the many elements of
successful artwork that
provide a firm base to build
upon. Color is one of the
elements I pay particular
attention to because I see
color as a way of expressing
emotion quickly and easily.
Color catches the eye and
keeps the viewer interested. I
put a lot of stress into the
composition of my work as
well. A bad composition is
readily apparent, giving the
viewer a sense that something
isn’t right. A good
composition should allow the
eye to flow easily...
