Artist Statement:
My work consists mainly of figure drawings and paintings in watercolors, charcoal, oil and mixed media.
The figure drawings and paintings consist of studying the figure in an art class open studio that I run for the community. I am long term believer as those other well known master artists that you have to draw what you see from still life and the figure. I like to also include color to express what I feel when I draw and paint in essence to capture that moment.
My figure studies are in depth serious works in my studio that I have also shared and welcomed other artists in my community to draw and paint here in Adams Morgan, Washington, D.C. My "Art Nites" in Adams Morgan have been a big hit because it is an underground bohemian art scene that I have created and my drawings and paintings are a reflection of it....
