Artist Statement:
John began experimenting with
clay as a young child. In
school,
He excelled in art classes,
particularly pottery and
sculpting.
After years of work and an
enormous number of art works,
finally John has his own art
gallery The Nut Point Galley ,
where he exhibits clay
sculptures and artistic
pottery.
The Exhibition is of a wide
variety of clay sculpture:
faces and heads.
Abstract range of faces and
body parts.
Glazed, oxided, painted or
natural clay look.
Pottery works, ranging from
artistic tableware to
ornaments and wall plaques.
The Nut Point Galley is
situated in the beautiful and
tranquil country- side of
Canterbury, Just a twenty
minutes drive from
Christchurch, heading west
towards the beautiful Southern
Alps.
