Artist Reviews:
John Manzi - Color Focus
When I first discovered John Manzi's astonishing photography, I assessed that one of the more admirable and possibly most important aspects of his work is a very classic concept: An artist an his camera. And though classic and concept practically illustrate "oxymoron" in the contemporary ...

Artist Statement for John Manzi

After years of studying both old masters as well as 20th Century masters in the US and in Europe, I felt it was time to begin creating photos/art which is perhaps a style unlike any others. I can go on and on about my extensive travels not to mention studies both in Europe, some in South Africa as well as so many places within America, all of which had both a direct and indirect affect on how I see and live my life, but I won't. What I will say is all my journey's are a reflection of my work and perhaps it's message.
My work is all 35mm, with no manipulations, shot with the intention of bringing you into a world rarely explored. This work is created with the intention of invoking thought and great emotion through it's color, light and lines which often mirror those of the human body. I have often be told that my work is quite sensual and sexual. That is something I won't deny for I see life, both human and non human, in sexual manner.
I will keep this message brief because I perfer you spending time exploring my work. If you need to know more about me, we can always write or speak with each other more directly.
Peace to us all,
john
