Artist Statement for Jolanta Prochnowski

|
|
I create elaborate one off pieces of clothing using a mix of techniques such as knitting, crocheting, embroidery, embellishment, beading. Although I research fashion trends every new season and find many inspirations there, I do not follow the trends rigorously. I rather aim to design beautiful clothes that can be in your closet for years. My inspiration comes from nature, ethnic and folk arts and crafts, and art in general. I design for a customer who likes to stand out in a crowd and enjoys wearing a unique handmade piece of art.
