| Your Personal Biography |
Josse Ford grew up in New Zealand’s wild and beautiful South Island. After several years in Australia, she moved to the United States and now splits her time between New York, Minneapolis and New Zealand. Originally trained in performance art, a series of dreams led her to embrace painting as a career.
Largely self-taught, Josse has studied the pastel medium with Gil Dellinger, Susan Sarback, Doug Dawson, Jim Wilcox, Anatoly Dverin, and Wolf Kahn. Inspired by a desire to explore energy and movement through light and color, she paints regularly on location throughout North America and New Zealand. When not on the road, Josse can often be found honing her craft at the New York Art Students League.
Her paintings have been exhibited in major national and international pastel exhibitions and are in several collections throughout North America.
