Artist Statement for Judy Hilgemann

"Emerging artist" is how I would describe myself at this point. Life, family, and work, have pulled me in many directions, just how it is for many other creative folks I'm sure. I strive to balance what is most precious, family and art. Nature and wilderness are two more precious things which are wonderfully near by, and which influence me and my art.
