The sea is my passion. I love the sea and the nature in a heavy storm. The winds, tide and waves. The sea birds like the cormorans, gannets and puffins. The waves along the rocky coasts. The under water world between the coral reefs and in caves. The colors from the rainbow allow me to paint the sea in all colors. |

As a kid I was good in drawing and I loved it. As a young boy I drawned already my second passion the love of the sea. As an older man I still do. |

| Your Personal Biography |
Johann Heinrich Reindert van den Noort
Born 7 January 1940 at Kampen, The Netherlands. After a technical education followed he an education for drawing and painting at the Royal Evening Academy of Art at Amsterdam in 1961 - 1962. Thereafter a self-taught man. Johann van den Noort lives and works in Kampen, the Netherlands.
JOHANN VAN DEN NOORT is a Dutch artist and inventor. As a lyrics abstract artist he has his oeuvre inextricable bond with his passion for the sea. Van den Noort is a renaissance man who the more worth of art, scientist en life looks for exciting cross-pollination. His civil technical innovations deliver solutions for world problems who all have something with water.
As artist Van den Noort takes only all a special position in the contemporary art. But there is more. Not only that he is driven by the sea, but especial the way he gives his passion form and contents, makes him to an artist who has conquered his place in the contemporary painting- and sculpture art world. JOHANN VAN DEN NOORT controls many techniques as: oil painting, watercolours, gouaches, different graphic techniques, ceramics and sculptures. His total oeuvre consist of more that 4000 pieces of art. There are many publications about him in art magazines, papers, catalogue and for radio and TV. The most of his work has found his way to art collections scattered over the world.
Who suppose that Van den Noort as inventor operates in a totally different field of activities, does the artist as well as the inventor to short. The power of the renaissance man is hidden in border excess thinking and working. Red wire in all he does is: water. But inside this thematic restriction he claims all freedom that he needs to devotion his talents and insights to make projects which give a valuable, intensive contribution to solve world problems. Like his innovative projects arise also his arts works at the adventure of all that has to do something with water. Also here it turns on the enriching of our existence with fresh ideas, exceptional findings and views and unexpected solutions.
In 2005 Van den Noort received for his total oeuvre the high Royal decoration of "Ridder in de Order van de Nederlandse Leeuw".
