Artist Statement:
What is "Passionate art for
the dreamer"?
In my art, I attempt to extend
to you the viewer an
invitation to visit your day
dreams
- your memories. That special
place in your heart or perhaps
that perfect day.
I believe that art is living
and has the ability to affect
everyone differently.
Coming from a large French
Canadian family, there was
always lots of laughter -
music and animated
personalities. I was often
surrounded with
creative and eclectically
colorful people. It was at a
young age that I began to
enjoy the art of watching
people and things, reading my
surroundings. I began to draw
as a child but was not content
with "coloring between the
lines".
I wanted to draw the picture
the way I saw it. If a tree
was brown
I could bring it back to life
and make it green.
There is beauty in everything
and often a child like
approach can be the
catalyst to maintaining our
longevity and happiness.
Because of this it was only
natural that
the progression went from
drawing to Impressionist
painting.
