Artist Statement:
In her work Lijnes appropriates and explores ideas embedded within materials and objects found in consumer culture such as obsessions of "clean and white"; erasure; displacement; the non object, economies and traces of traditional cultures.
She lives and works in Noordhoek with Jon. She has two sons, Beau and Liam, three cats, two conures, tortoise and many wild birds.
