Artist Statement:
In her work Karin appropriates and explores a wide variety of materials, images and aesthetic ideas from consumer culture and traditional forms of art.
One of these being the idea of text as image and image as text.
These are manifest in works on paper, sewn works and lately Karin investigates `containers of meaning' .
she lives and works in Noordhoek with Jon. she has two sons, Beau and Liam, four cats, a parrot and a tortoise.
