Artist Statement:
The forces behind my work right now are related to the diverse conversations going on in my head, juxtapositions of polarities, dualities, and energies. I am reading books, watching movies, listening to ambient music, and creating sculptures from found and recycled objects, all as ways to witness how we experience changes that occur with loss, trauma, and disability. In this quest to find balance, closure, completeness, and wholeness in concepts and materials, I am finding out, more personally, who significant openness, counterbalance, holes, and even, silence and rest play a part in this exploration.
