Artist Statement for Irina Urumova

Graduate of the Warsaw School of Photography, Poland, currently a student at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid, Spain. Primarily works in digital art, photography, and mixed media.

Urumova’s work deals with the themes of consumer culture, repression, sexuality and death by using images of childhood as visual metaphors.
