My inspiration reflects the human experience, relationships, motherhood, social and political problems. I have always had a deep interest in searching and exploring these problems in different cultures and societies. This interest was greatly enhanced by my life pattern.
I grew up in a village and had lots of freedom to explore the world of nature, and to witness the social and political problems which have dictated my whole life. After finishing primary school, I moved to a city where I spent most of my teenage years. During my early twenties, I graduated from university, got married and had my first child. The political problems urged my family and I to leave the country. Since then, I have traveled extensively through the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Latin America, the U.S.A and Asia. Through this journey of my life, I have been witnessing different political, social and cultural problems. These problems have affected me and added to my appreciation of the world around me. All these experiences are stored in my mind and they are the pool of knowledge that I rely upon and utilize to pursue my goals of creating and communicating through my sculptures.
From early childhood, I have always had an intense desire to create things visually, starting hundreds of dolls in different media. As I have grown up and nurtured this desire, my work has evolved to a point where I hope to be able to touch the feelings of spectators where ever they are so that they help and support humanity, a humanity full of compassion and respect for others.
