My connection to the natural
world is the recurrent thread
throughout my work. I use
animals to express the essence
of nature’s frailty, its
humor, joy, and its
destruction. The landscapes
are spare and, for the most
part, ambiguous. Painted,
drawn and collaged images and
symbols are layered within the
encaustic surface, fully and
partially revealed — fragments
