Artist Statement:
My latest body of work, which
I call the Etherea series, are
atmospheric abstractions of
meditation and memory. They
are meant as resting places,
transcendental escapes from
our hectic, complex world.
They allude to the rhythms and
the quiet mysteries of our
lives and our search for a
deeper connection to the
mystery we call the human
experience. They are serene
and lyrical and are meant to
be addressed by the wholeness
of our being, beyond
intellectual interpretation.
These minimal pieces, with
their subtle complexity, are
edited down to the essentials
as they are layered
translucently in search of
radiance, nuance and depth.
They evolve through a process
of improvisation,
experimentation, revision and
intuition....
