Artist Statement for James King

As time advances to drive all beings ahead, Few grasp the fervor and passion that time can grant those who call upon it. My work attempts to look at time as it is, as it has been, and as it will be. Working with a digital camera, a 35mm camera, and a standard 8mm camcorder, along with several basic image editors on my computer and any other computers available to me. These programs include Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Painter Classic. The study of time is one that weilds few results on an immediate basis, and many of my works display my discoveries hidden in the folds, and my working habits and patterns will change, as I am still learning and experiencing new things. Starting my freshman year at Columbus College of Art and Design, I have much studying and working to do, and this means i have less time to just create, but soon, I will have new found knowledge and abilities. I will have more power.
