Artist Statement:
Those bigger than life
concepts are the ones I like
to tackle in my work. I love
surrealism. I enjoy the idea
of extracting these corporal,
neurological, galactic,
cellular, landscapes and
portraits from my subconscious
space and try to make that
literal.
The imagery, as eclectic as
that previous list may seem,
relates to the way I see the
world around me. I think very
holistically, observe
objectively, and stumble upon
congruence in surprising
places. Recently my art has
become especially scientific
and organic in response to the
ongoing war between science
and some organized religions.
This conflict is a good
example of what I am trying to
say: They see their conflict
as just because they are
opposing forces; I see their
conflict as silly because they
are trying to do the same
thing, find answers.
