In opposition to a male
Modernist tradition of
reduction and geometry to an
essential or formal
minimalism, I propose a
feminine, additive process in
my art making.

The content of my work is
currently based on the
Planets. In conjunction with
a development of a book of
poems by my husband, Dr. Carl
Buchanan, I am independently
producing these manipulated
and composited images. The
influence and power of
childhood/birth quite often
enters into the work, a
juxtaposition of microcosm and
macrocosm and their perceived
powers. I hope you enjoy the
