Artist Statement:
My art is inspired by many
themes including surrealism,
fantasy, horror, psychedelia
and the supernatural. I am
also intrigued by the beauty
found within the chaotic
complexities of natural
occurrence, spanning the gamut
in scale from sub atomic
particles to expansive
celestial bodies. By trade I
am an architect so
composition, balance of colors
and juxtaposition of form,
light and shadows all play a
part in the creation of my
art. To convey the themes that
interest me I like to
transition from figurative art
to abstract art and back
again.
All of my finished works
originate from pen and ink
sketches drawn on cardboard,
notebook paper, napkins or
whatever happens to be in
front of me at the time.
Various digital manipulations
create the final
results. Sometimes the
sketches remain apparent and
sometimes they vanish within
the many varying layers of
digital manipulations....

Welcome to Kevin Marion's Portfolio.
My art is inspired by many themes including surrealism, fantasy, horror, psychedelia and the supernatural.
