Artist Statement:

Christine is an award winning,
academically trained artist
who paints representational,
realism oil paintings of
figures, usually children in
the landscape, pure landscape,
and portraitur painting.

Christine’s paintings are
often recognised for their
unusual viewpoint of either
looking up at the subject, or
at being at eye level with a
subject that one would
normally look down at. The
children in her paintings are
often seen as if from behind
so that viewers are given the
illusion they are
participating in the journey
of the subject. The fact that
Christine is accomplished in
painting such large canvases
(as well as small) also
contributes to this illusion.

Christin Montague is also an
accomplished portrait painter
and a passionate photographer.
