Biggest Artistic Inspiration When I was a child my closest friend came from a very artistic family. Her mother in particular was an art director at a local college as well as a illustrator for children's books. When I would visit their home her mother would show me her newest work. It was always unusual combinations of colour and medium, like nothing I had ever seen but I was always left awestruck. She was an experimental and innovative artist who helped form my appreciation for abstract art very early on.

Why Did You Become An Artist I think in some form or another I've always been an artist. I took an appreciation to anything visual from an early age. It formed further through my teens where I took every art class I could manage. As an adult I dabbled in graphic design but found it too restrictive to my undisciplined personality. I went on to open a custom picture framing store and small gallery where my own art took a bit of a sideline. Upon leaving that business I worked full force with the same enthusiam I had in my early 20's. Art and everything related to it is deeply embedded in my soul.

Your Personal Biography I am new to selling art online but not new to the artistic experience. After studying art I went on to sell it at a custom picture framing store and gallery. I was the owner/operator for eleven years but when my family expanded to six children I decided to concentrate on my own art and spend my time at home. Years of running a successful brick and mortar business with at least one to two children running around the store with me has helped shape my multi tasking talents!

I started that business when I was only 24 and made it a success, now I am putting that same ambition into shaping myself as a professional self represented artist. While I do have a few paintings showing in a gallery I find it more viable to try and find my niche online while surrounding myself with my family.
