Artist Statement:
Born in France where he
studied philosophy, Dominique
has always been attracted by
the lines and the shapes of
the landscapes. He began to
photograph them before
entering l'Ecole de l'Image in
Epinal, his native city, where
he discovered relief printing
techniques and their strong
contrasts. In 1994, he settled
in the USA and began to travel
there regularly. His prints
summarize his trips. They do
not describe a particular
place but the idea related to
it. According to him, "the
world is a kaleidoscope of
images and sensations to
explore but it is only
imagination and work that can
make it speak and be
beautiful. My prints try to
capture these magical moments
when there is more to
understand than to see"....
