Artist Statement for Bob Phillips
|
|
|
Bob Phillips is age 74, married 52 years. Three children, five grandchildren, and recently one great grandchild.
Bob is retired, lives near the beach in Huntington Beach, Calif. and spends his time painting, surfing and just hanging out.
Bob is a decorated veteran of the Korean War serving as an infantry soldier there in 1951. Awards include a Purple Heart.
His artwork has won awards in the Huntington Harbour Art Assn competitions and has had showings in the local art center.
Bob has been painting most of his life, however since being retired a
a few years ago he can now devote more time to his art.
The images are centered around surfing, seascapes, surfboards, waves, etc.
