Artist Statement:
Working in clay goes beyond a dialogue of form and concept; it has become a direct line of communication with my heart and soul. It is sometimes the only communication I want.
Dreams and thoughts, understanding, acceptance, faith and love, come to be expressed in this gentle organic substance, an extension of myself.
The process facilitates the journey of self acceptance and its expression.
Self perception as an artist, has gone hand in hand with exposure and teaching.
I have gained a deeper understanding of my own creativity, not only by sharing the end results and final pieces with others, but also the methods and the process of creating in clay. This encourages me to go beyond my boundaries.
Enabling others to find their own talent and self expression, sharing this joy, brings with it an even greater respect for the creative process.
I have studied English literature, linguistics and writing; fashion design, pattern making, quilting, printing, engraving, painting, sketching, art therapy, sculpture in stone, wire mesh, and ceramics - in the pursuit of self expression. Still looking for answers, still asking questions.
Clay is at this time my answer....

| Your Personal Biography |
Born in South Africa, have lived most of my life in Israel but have spent some years living in Europe. I have studied art, ceramics and sculpture with unique teachers during the past 30 years and have been sculpting in clay for about 25 of those, the last ten becoming seriously and completely immersed in creating. |
