From 1984 until 1996, I lived
in China and watched the
country fall, like Icarus,
from a dream of socialism back
into the crudest kind of
sweat-shop and skid-row
capitalism.

Welcome to David Kellogg's Portfolio. Browse Kellogg's body of work: From 1984 until 1996, I lived in China and watched the country fall, like Icarus, from a dream of socialism back into the crudest kind of sweat-shop and skid-row capitalism.
My more recent, Korean, paintings are more earnest and prosaic. I suppose when you don't understand the language you are thrown back on painting what you see; the ears grow dull, but the eyes, to a certain extent, sharpen.
