Artist Statement:
Recognize yourself, someone, everyone and no one in my faces – celebrate color in the shape of a nose, the curve of the ears, the mask of the eyes, and the lines of the lips and hair. Most of all remember the humanity in humanity.
The human face inspires me. As ...

| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
I love artwork that goes beyond representation and lets me ponder human existence and experience as a conversation between the artist and the viewer. As such, I prefer expressionism over impressionism and interpretation over realism.
I am most fascinated by portrait artists who go beyond achieving a good likeness to examine larger human complexities and artistic experimentation.
A living artist I admire is Jerry Waese. His work fascinates me.
Some famous artists whose work I love include Matisse, Van Gogh, Picasso, Jawlensky, Gauguin, Beckmann, Bonard, Cezanne, Chagall, David Park, Derain, Van Dongen, Kirchner, Hopper, Munch, Roualt, and the list could go on and on. |

| Your Personal Biography |
Lisa Reinke is an American artist living in Singapore. Moving from the woods of New Hampshire to one of the great cities of the world is quite a change in scenery!
Currently, she is enjoying seeing a transformation in her work and is amazed that location seems to play a more major role in inspiration than she expected.
Lisa is intrigued by the differences and similarities in her environment. A favorite saying in her new neck of the woods is "Same, same, but different," which couldn't be a truer contradiction.
She will be living in Southeast Asia through 2010.
