Artist Statement:
I truly enjoy exploring
fractal formulas. The
discovery of just the right
combination of numbers for an
image has me completely
enthralled. As curiosity is
my prime motivator, it’s
difficult for me to be
satisfied with an image. I’m
forever adjusting numbers and
changing algorithms. My
mantra, “What if . . . ” is a
continuous chant in the
creation process. Working
with fractals has my curiosity
turned on constantly and I’ll
probably never be able to stop
because there is always more
to learn and do. There is
always a “What if . . . ”
I find the chaotic nature of
fractals elegant and
versatile. A fractal can be at
once subtle and bold. It can
be a mind numbing spiral with
bright neon colors, or
geometric shapes with a harsh
metallic look, or it can be
gentle swirls and soft
textures. Fractals are a part
of our world and they’re more
than just numbers. And that’s
what I’m compelled to share
with you....
