Living on a farm , I have the opportunity to see all the gifts of nature that surround me every day. Also traveling to many parts of the country and world to see the works of others. I stood in awe several different times if front of Rubens work and have seen and almost touched the works of van Gogh at the d'Orsay in Paris and the Vincent in Amsterdam. Very exciting! |

LIZ.NEUMANN.ART
A NATIVE OF WHEELING, WV, USA, LIZ HAS BEEN ACTIVELY PAINTING IN ACRYLICS, OILS, WATERCOLORS FOR OVER 40 YEARS. HER WORK IS FEATURED IN JURIED SHOWS ACROSS THE OHIO VALLEY, WINNING MANY FIRST PLACE AWARDS. LIZ’S WORKS ARE ON DISPLAY IN MANY PRIVATE COLLECTIONS THROUGHOUT THE WHEELING AREA AS WELL AS IN WASHINGTON, D.C. HOUSTON, NEW YORK, COLUMBUS, OHIO, ENGLAND AND SWITZERLAND.
LIZ HAS EXPLORED ALL MEDIUMS THROUGH VARIOUS TECHNIQUES. RECENTLY HER FOCUS HAS BEEN USING THE PALETTE KNIVES IN BOTH OIL AND ACRYLIC.
THOUGH HER FORTE IS MIXING FAVORITE OUTDOOR PANORAMAS WITH SPECIAL CHOSEN OBJECTS. CURRENTLY LIZ HAS BEEN DOING ORIGINAL DIGITAL ART AND HAS WON FIRST PLACE IN THE FIELD OF JURIED SHOWS. HER HOME, FOXBERRY FARM IN WEST VIRGINIA, HAS BEEN AN INSPIRATION FOR MANY OF LIZ’S WORKS. EARTH COLORS, RICH DEEP ACRYLICS AND OILS, EDGES DEFINED BY BRUSH AND KNIFE HAVE MADE HER ART BELOVED BY MANY WHO FEEL A STRONG BOND TO THE EARTH.
LIZ’S WORK TELLS THE STORIES OF HER JOURNEYS SHE SHARED WITH HER HUSBAND, BILL. SHE LIVES AT FOXBERRY FARM, WHEELING, WV WITH HER FRIEND, A HUGE CHOCOLATE LAB NAMED “COCO”.
LIZ HAS BEEN A MEMBER OF ‘ARTWORKS AROUND TOWN” SINCE IT’S BEGINNINGS, AND IS CURRENTLY PRESIDENT AND FUND RAISING CHAIRMAN.
