Artist Statement:
The Faces Collection..... Spirituality & inner beauty emerge as a self-contained form, independent but childlike in its simplicity. Golden or radiant it remains untouched by the strain of life. There is a face in every canvas.
A collection of forty-two paintings have been created in the past three years. A stark black canvas is transformed by a finger painted image in interference acrylic. As the face emerges, features are added with modeling paste and finished with gold leaf. All paintings are highly textured with acrylic gel. The direction of the collection leans toward the feminine form, high texture and jewel tone colors. A painter/designer for over 25 years. Private collectors own earlier works and she shows from her designer studio by appointment.
