Artist Statement for Louellen Brock-Jones

|
People are my passion and putting them on canvas is my way of sharing them with the world. There isn't a day goes by that something doesn't capture my vision and scream to be put to canvas. I have been drawing, using pastel and ink since I was 9 but only recently had the extraordinary chance to paint in acrylic with my brother, we collaborated on about 30 paintings and I am inspired. The canvas is my world now, I see new ideas everywhere, even in my dreams, it is nothing to wake up at 3 am and start painting. It is my addiction, I am drawn to colors, expression, strokes ... my mind is always working on the next splash of color I can share with anyone that is willing to feel it.
