Louis Catusco, American Modernist 1927 - 1995
Catusco was a pioneer who helped set the stage for a new way of seeing. Like Mondrian who spoke of "bringing the universal downward" so we could understand it, Catusco created in his work a transcendental language.

Died: Dec. 13, 1995, Taos, NM
United States Navy 1944-1946
Taos, NM resident: 1950-51, 1960-95
Used the GI Bill to study art at The Brooklyn Museum Art school
between 1947 and 1949 under John Ferren, and in 1950 and 1951 at
The Taos Valley Art school with Louis Ribak.
