Artist Statement for Nick Pike
|

|
I consider most of my work to be about extended imagination. Being a prolific dreamer and having an extreme passion for music contribute to my inspirations. My favourite artists are Salvador Dali and M.C. Escher. Their impossible landscapes are so intriguing as I still want to get into and explore them.
I like to use bold, bright and vivid colours in my paintings, yet also to contain deep and sometimes dark messages/meanings. As with most artists, I imagine, I am attempting to reflect my personality in this way.
