Shibori art has become my inspiration, my profession, my obsession, and my life for over five years now. It is always a surprise to me when, at first, I don’t recognise the material as silk because the effect is so unlike anything I have seen before. |

Ludwika Żytkiewicz
Born in 1976 Lodz.
In 1995-01 studied at the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Lodz, at the Faculty of Textile Art and Fashion Design with diploma in 2001 from Studio of Printed Fabrics Design.
Since 2004 assistant at the Experimental and Implementation Studio at the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Lodz.
Since 2006 member of The 62 Group of Textile Artists.
Pursues textile art, miniature textiles and object.
