Artist Statement:
Luis Vera Prendes was born on
October 5th, 1970 in Mexico
City. Luis is a self-taught
artist that is not afraid to
explore with different ways of
painting, and therefore his
work is not easily classified,
also he has initiated some
sculpture projects. Luis has
participated in group
exhibitions at the Modern Art
Museum of Mexico City and at
Malinalco Golf Club. Recently
he was selected by Agora
Gallery in New York for
representation. Luis is
married and has two small
sons: Joaquin and Rodrigo.
Luis considers that art is the
constant, sincere and
authentic "intent" to create
things that make life worth
living....
