Artist Statement for Lynn Walker

|
|
Growing up near the seashore, the salt air has always been a part of my life. It's natural that my paintings reflect life near the beach. I attempt to capture the "essence" of a person or place through color and composition, rather than perfect representation. I am inspired by the compositions of Degas, the colors of Bonnard and the values of the Machiaolli School in Italy.
