Artist Statement:
Color in my work is often representative of the opposite life experiences that surround us from day to day. In figurative and abstract, my palette is complementary, my style is swerving, a blending of exact and undetermined.

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I didn't have a choice; I've been creating art since I was young! |

| Your Personal Biography |
Born in Detroit, Michigan, I drew cartoons as a child, later graduating to college art. I couldn't separate it from my other vocation as a writer, so I studied both. I received a B.A. in journalism, minors in art & creative writing. I freelanced for magazines and newspapers, and published some short fiction.
Later I went back to earn my M.A. in painting. Afterwards, I taught art in a local art center, accumulated entry into group shows, locally and out-of-state, and sold online.
I now live on Lake Michigan, in Grand Haven. Presently I work out of Imagine 360 Art House, and hope to open my own gallery/studio. |
