The mystical Art of Frater Velado
Master of Light

C. A. Vicente Velado R. Marcier (Frater Velado, also known
as Macarlo) recently released his portfolio at Absolute Arts
( http://www.absolutearts.com/portfolios/m/macarlo/ )
exposing 40 canvas, a selection of the over 550 exposed in
his Frater Velado's Art Gallery launched on 2002CE.
Considered a genius of modern visual art Frater Velado
created his paintings after a mystical initiation occurred
in his private Sanctum (Rosicrucian sacred room), a Thursday
at night, on 1995. During this esoteric event Frater Velado
received from Master Alden the Mystical Palette Veritas
Vincit with the mission of to restore the truth on Egyptian
Rosicrucianism, as is known the kind of Rosicrucianism
presented by the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC. Master Alden is
the mystical name (the name of the Inner Master) of Dr.
Harvey Spencer Lewis, F.R.C. (1883 - 1939), Founder of AMORC
as a re-organization of the Akhenaten's Mysteries School.
Velado, hermit under the Rule of Benedict during just seven
years was lived in the Saint Michael Archangel Hermitage, in
Niteroi city, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil, SA, without
contacts with the exterior world. Musician (trumpet player -
he studied with Miles Davis and the Brazilian musician
Rosalvo Gonçalves), writer and philosopher, Bro. Vicente
Velado is son of the famous painter Emeric Marcier, the most
important Latino American sacred painter, died in Paris, on
1990. But Velado never have tried or simply thought to
paint before this initiation. After this mystical happening
Velado becomes not a simply painter, one more between
thousands, but just a Master of the Light, as his father.
Velado dominates completely the secret technique of to make
abundant light in a canvas with a simply touch of his brush,
using the appropriate colour, as you can see in various
canvas here, used to illustrate this review.
Frater Velado, Abbot of Ordo Svmmvm Bonvm (the Inner Circle
of the Rosicrucian Order) for the Third World, experienced
other mystical high initiations with the Light, including
one from the Great White Brotherhood Lodge
(G'.'W'.'B'.'L'.') and this one caused the creation of the
painting titled "Before de Great Initiatic Light". The
Artist describes here his experience:
- I use constantly white light in my paintings just in
consequence of my personal experience with The Light
(Mystical Light): After an Initiation received in my
closure, from the Great White Brotherhood Lodge, I created
the painting "Before the Great Initiatic Light". With this
Initiation you have no more face, no more name: you will
absolutely alone, inside the Total Silence of the authentic
Peace Profound irradiated by the Great Light (the initiatic
and symbolic presence of the Eternal Light inside your core,
into your soul). When this Initiation is really completed,
you are no more you: you are just a part of the Cosmic
Christ and you are at the same time alone and congregated
with all like you now. An human being simply cannot
describes this Initiation using words: only painting a
canvas it is possible. Then, I did it.
According Velado, light is exactly the most important
element in the composition of a painting:
- First I create mentally the painting, then I transpose it
to a canvas as a pictorial form; during this creative
process I include light in some points of the canvas in
order to capture there the soul of the person portrayed or
the spirit of the event that I am painting. This action is
performed in a continuous work, without interruptions or
repairs; I stop my work only when the canvas is entirely
full of my pictorial idea. Honesty is a transcendental
element in this process and the Artist must be absolutely
honest with himself and the world. No concessions can be
accepted with any convenience or circumstance. As
essentially a mystical painter just an esoteric vision to
the New era (New Mental Era) is my primary goal with my Art.
I Believe that Art is Life and Life is Art. Life is
initiatory and Art is initiatic. Then, the Artist are an
initiate in the Art of Life. I'm involved with the human
drama on this planet and my Art is a manner to express my
vision on various questions related with this theme, Life.
I'm using Art to promote Peace Profound and for human
valorization in all aspects. For me a dog and a human being
have exactly the same importance from a macro vision. I
portrayed God and a series extracted on this canvas are
exposed in the main-page of my Art Gallery. "Is God a
mental creation of man?" -that is the question. I believe
that Art is a path for those are seeking for the Mastery of
Life. As a Rosicrucian, Art for me is a consequence of my
mystical condition and a mission in order to diffuse more
Light. -said the painter.
Using these pictorial elements and working according his
Rosicrucian philosophy, Frater Velado created various
mystical canvas as "God", "Eternal Light", The Force",
"Light and Darkness", "Seeking for the Eternal Life", "Jesus
Christ", "Summum Sanctissimus Sacramentum", "God Aten",

Below Velado describes the initiation of the Mystical
Palette Veritas Vincit:
- I remember that a Thursday at night, just after Christmas,
I was alone in my closure, in my sanctum period for study on
Planes of the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, and a profound
sadness invaded me. I saw, in the screen of my mind, the
beautiful Christmas Tree decorated by my wife with artistic
candles, silvered stars and colourful globes. A Tree that
today exist only in my remembrances. Alone, without
Christmas gifts, I cried. Just when I was crying a strange
violet light invaded my cell and I was transported in a
fraction of seconds to another Plane, where I saw Dr.
Spencer Lewis with a palette in his right hand.
" It is necessary, extremely necessary, that Veritas Vincit.
Get this palette and do it, not for me, but for Maat -he
said...and disappears!!'
I baptized this mystical palette as "Veritas Vincit" and
using it I created the Frater Velado's Art Gallery , where
I'm exposing some paintings about Rosicrucianism and on
human drama.
This was, for me, my most important experience with Dr.
Harvey Spencer Lewis.
