Artist Statement for Maria Madacky
|
|
|
My studio practice explores the mediation of existential opposites, especially the issues of spirituality and materiality. I am concerned with the space in between these opposites.
My recent works are a result of the search for visual structures that epitomize unity and wholeness. They intend to transcend the physical sense of seeing and move towards a meditative experience of another time and space, open to magic and enchantment.
