Studio art class for adults: Sculpting From the Poets' Eye with Malcolm Wolff, 1:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, April 3 through May 22. Cost: $80 museum members, $95 non-members.

An Artist Travels to Italy for a Personal Renaissance
"Ever since I had the opportunity to place my hands on Michelangelo's unfinished works in the Academia in Florence Italy, ingraining that kind of energy and feeling the impact of centuries of classical training it had been my dream to walk in the footsteps of the masters." On that trip to Florence, overwhelmed by what he saw and felt, Malcolm knew he wanted to work in that same marble quarried from Carera, Italy.

Art Exhibition - Local Artists Display Work in Juried Art Exhibition
More than 200 pieces were submitted by local artists, artists throughout Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. Only 43 were chosen. Mr. Wolff's "Abel" (in bronze) and "Torso" (in Carera marble) were the only two pieces of sculpture featured in the exhibit.
