Artist Statement for Lynn Fisher
|
|
|
Two Connecticut artists, Lisa Keith and Lynn C Fisher, have created “Manda Rose Designs”, a line of bright, colorful handbags. Each vibrant, funky bag is individually hand painted by Lisa and sewn by Lynn. The bags grow and change as we create them, making each piece a unique work of art. Although some styles and color schemes may be similar, each bag is one of a kind. We designed these upscale bags to appeal to the creative woman who has her own unique sense of style. Our bags are cut from sturdy denim material, which is then brush painted with acrylic paints using a variety of artistic techniques, including layering, freehand painting, stamping, stenciling and gold leaf. Our bags are fully lined with complimentary materials in either a cotton or cotton poly blend. Most of the embellishments are hand made as well, including polymer clay beads and hand twisted cord.
