Artist Statement:
I work in two basic medias, oil and acrylics, because I identify myself with them the most. Each one brings a different reaction in me. I guess they trigger a different side of my brain?... with them I recreate my world in both a physical and emotional way, being the abstracts my wild side, while my figures and landscapes are my peaceful more adult side.
My work for me is the escape, the back door to my most intimate world, where my dreams, fears and swirls of emotions along with with daily life and experiences are stored.
I use the canvas and the board as my paper and the paints as my pencil where I'm writing a book. The story? an eternal story filled with happiness, struggles, fears, experiences and the beauty of this world and the human being as important participant of my stories.
I don't think my work will ever be defined as many other artist's I admire. I can't just sit and decide one day from now on I want to be a classical impressionist figurative painter or the rock star of the abstract world. I enjoy both disciplines so much and I ...

Manuela Valenti, fashion model, glass artist and painter was born April 14, 1968 in Caracas, Venezuela, South America from Italian immigrants, first showed interest in painting at a very early age for which she was always considered a prodigy child. Like any other kid who's starting to express, her works were very colorful, defined and unique at the same time. With an instinct for color and a huge necessity to express, Manuela soon adventures in a journey of discovery that have lasted for over 30 years.
Manuela is one of those artists that would impress you and who would never cease to amaze you. With no absolute school in art but an incredible talent, she's able to accomplish pieces in both traditional and contemporary style with incredible ease.
Valenti's work inspires the traditional and the more modern and contemporary viewer into collect any of her pieces. With a talent comparable to Dali or Picasso for her ability to perform different styles in a natural manner without a struggle or hesitation, Manuela has created a niche in what would be a dream for many contemporary and classical painters today, offering both the contemporary and classical collector a piece of her work.
Manuela's work was introduced in the United States in early 2000 and since then has gained international recognition. Her works hang in over 700 private and corporate collectors in the USA, Canada, Venezuela, Spain, Italy, France, UK, Ireland, Brazil, Colombia, Australia and Japan. Manuela has being published in numerous magazine articles in the US and Europe. Most recently her Biography was published in the Who's Who in America ® 2008 and is scheduled to be published in Who's Who of American Women® 2009. She has shown on internationally renowned exhibitions as the New York ArtExpo 2008, Mac21 International Contemporary Art Fair in Marbella, Spain in 2002 and the Biennale of Venice in 2004.
Manuela is one of the most talented, vibrant and most prolific contemporary artists in the world today. She is currently represented by Chelsea Art Gallery in Michigan, Sherrus Art Gallery in Michigan, The Logan & Moore Gallery in Connecticut, Art Teletxe in Spain.
