Artist Statement:
I paint what intrigues me and that is darkness & light and all the shades between both bold and subtle in the both physical rhealm and the spiritual within. I am especially inspired by the magic and beauty found in nature, the strength of the human spirit to go on despite our obstacles and limitations. Of seeking and portraying that state of mind that resides in the field between wake and dream where all things are posible. I want to enchant the viewer into my world...with a hint
that more is happening than what you first may see in my works the same as I believe is happening in life.
Biography
I have been interested in art for as far back as I can remember and I have always been particularly fascinated by natures "little details".Even as a toddler at the of age 2 when I drew for the first time it was of a little goldfish complete with gills and even scales. Unfortunately it was drawn on my Mothers kitchen blackboard used for recipes. It remained as long as the
elements would let it.
I was self taught until high school and did not have any artistic mentor ...

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I did not choose to become an artist.
I was born one.
I only chose to follow my natural inclination. |

| Your Personal Biography |
I paint what intrigues me most, things of the spirit, the invisible and intangible. Many are often steeped in symbolism. It is my aim to stir all the senses. I'm especially inspired by the pure things, however rare. The awe inspiring beauty found in nature, and of the spirit. I seek toportray that state of mind that resides in some misty field between wake and dream, where all things are possible.
I want to enchant the viewer into my world...with a hint that more is happening than what you first may see..., much the same as what I believe is happening in real life
Biography
I have been interested in art for as far back as I can remember and I have always been particularly fascinated by natures 'littledetails'. As a child of 2, my first drawing was a fish. It wasn't abstract like most children's drawings but was complete with fins, gills and even scales. Unfortunately it was drawn on my Mother's kitchen blackboard used for recipes. It remained as long as the elements would let it.
I studied Fine Arts at Weber State University in Utah and it wasthere that I became enchanted and inspired by the works of some of my favorite artists Mackintosh, Klimt, Parrish, Mucha and Rodin. I have often been told that my works are reminiscent of theirs and to me that is a wonderful compliment. I have heard that imitation is the greatest form of flattery and although I don't seek to imitate any of them specifically, I do try to learn from, draw upon and develop elements of their art that I find particularly appealing.
It is my desire to express, inspire and pass along within my art, that realm of enchantment and mysteries that brings forthsuch joy to me, on to you.

I was self taught until high school and did not have any artistic mentor in my life until then when a particular teacher, Mr. Johnson took me under his wing and introduced me to the world of watercolor of which I have grown so fond of. It was he and my Mother who
encouraged me to believe in my gifts and to continue in my art education after High School. I went on to Weber State University and it was there that I became enchanted and inspired by the works of my favorite artists Klimpt, Parrish, Mucha and Rodin.
