Artist Statement for Margarita Iakovleva

|
The "Blue Actors" series of paintings is my vision of people's souls that sleep at night. They feature as the main characters in many my paintings.
In my vision at night when people are asleep their souls have a wonderful time playing and listening to music, singing and enjoying the companionship of other people's souls.
In my latest paintings I have moved from sadness and grief to the happier feelings of hope, aspiration and enlightenment.
Brilliant blue colour for me is a colour of purity, calmness and spirituality. I want to show people the other world, my world; where there are no lies, betrayal, or deception.
