Mariana Paints The unexpected of Abstract Art
Mariana Dababneh, 29 years old Jordanian lady, with the love and passion to flying and sky expressed by the means of colors and brushes is preparing for her first exhibition in the fancy Blue Fig Café in Abdoun.
Blue Fig is a literary and cultural café, dedicated to the discovery of new cultures, designed as a cultural venue and home to a myriad of artistic disciplines. It is an L-shaped structure, built on several levels, with concrete and steel as its principal building materials. The walls, floors, and ceilings are unified in texture and in color. Dark wood inserts were used for the floors, counters and furniture, and built-in niches in the walls house artwork.
Mariana is not only a self taught contemporary abstract artist but also a commercial pilot; she has a diploma and a CPL/IR flight license. She loved painting and drawing since she was a little girl, her passion has increased up to a point to let her share her wisdom and peace of mind, with the needy world, her strength and weakness, happiness and sadness. She thinks that she is capable to express all of that through her paintings.
Dababneh's paintings, over 25 in number, will be exhibited from the 5th of November to the 23rd of December, all in acrylic and oil on canvas expressed in various colors that extend from the deep hot redas in he painting "Love Birds" to the cold blue as in "Water Falls" and so many other paintings included in her collection which includes our everyday feelings and incidents. Our artist thinks that Abstract art is not about shapes and colors, it's about how you observe and feel things and paint them your own way. Abstract art can be viewed through eyes, but also can be felt much beyond where you can read the unseen words.
When Dababneh was asked about her sources of inspiration, she said that most of the things that inspires her are music that contact the soul, every thing pulsing with colors, love poems, nature, and people talks. Then she consumed: '' When I paint, I feel off in my own little world, I feel taken to the far reaches of the universe, I feel energetic and curious to finish my paintings, leading me on a broad range of fulfillment of pleasure and happiness''.
Finally, when Dababneh was asked about her expectations of her upcoming exhibition, she said that she loves and honors all of her artworks. Each of her paintings represents a personal touch of her; no one with icy emotions can understand her sensitive style in art. She continued that you can expect the unexpected in abstract art. So people of Amman should be prepared to get into a totally unexpected new experience of abstract art; the art of Mariana Dababneh!
