|
My art is a dance between the outer world of nature and beauty and the inner world of intuition and subconscious symbols. My many years of training in the field of psychology, my work with individuals in therapy, and my art; all reflect the influence of my favorite psychologist Carl Jung. The observer can detect the dance of opposites as I try to use the obvious and the hidden, the light and the shadows, the ancient and the new; to invoke a sense of wonder. The subject itself is often insignificant. It is the play of light, the texture, the nuaces of the mingling of colors that interest me. It is my joy of the moment of being lost in the creative process that I will hope I can share with the viewer. And perhaps if just for a moment our soul is held captive to the joy and wonder of the creative force that lives within all.
